This Real-Time PCR kit allows for the detection of GM corn DBT418 in food and feed DNA extracts. The kit was designed on the sequences available in the NCBI database (Entry Number U63372.1) and it is gene-specific. DBT418 is the only corn GM event registered in the EU database containing this gene (CS-cry1Ac-BACTU) - according to the EU database there are other GM events in other vegetal varieties containing this gene which might cross-react.
