This Real-Time PCR kit detects the DNA of corn and soy thus it allows to check if the extraction process yielded any corn and soy detectable DNA. In summary it is a paramount process control to give a correct interpretation to negative results when testing for OGM. The kit can be used also to monitor the taxa cross-contamination and to quantify single taxon contribution in a complex DNA mix. The kit was developed according to the experimental design of the EU reference laboratory (see https://gmo-crl.jrc.ec.europa.eu/gmomethods/).
