MODIfinder reference DNA is a purified DNA solution which allows to estimate the level of GMO contamination of a grain lot using qPCR. The event OXY-235 canola is not approved in the EU; it does exist an approved method (JRC Publication JRC100496) for detecting traces of it but no standard reference material is commercially available. Generon developed a positive control by inserting the sequence detected by JRC method into a plasmid. This product contains an aliquot of the plasmid quantified using ddPCR.
