Tryptone-Bile-Glucuronide Agar (TBX) is a selective chromogenic medium used for the isolation and counting of ß-glucuronidase-positive Escherichia coli in products intended for human consumption and in animal feed, by means of the filter membrane method (UNI ISO 16649-1), direct inoculation method (UNI ISO 16649-2) or MPN-Most Probable Number method (UNI ISO 16649-3).
