Quality indicators such as the determination of mesophilic aerobic bacterial flora play an increasingly important role in controlling food hygiene and processing environments. Since the ISO 4833 reference method is complex and long to implement, SY-LAB has developed an alternative method that allows for fast, automated and reliable determination of hygiene parameters and simplification of documentation. The AMP-6000 analysis system is a platform for the determination of mesophilic aerobic flora by means of a miniaturized and automated MPN (Most Probable Number). The method produces quantitative results within 22-48 hours with minimal sample preparation. The method uses microtitration plates in SBS format and a scanner including evaluation software (AMP-6000 Scan) for plate evaluation. Manual evaluation by visual inspection and counting of wells with color change is also possible. The test has been validated by Microval according to ISO 16140-2.
