MODIfinder reference DNA is a purified DNA solution with calibrated concentration and % contamination level extracted from reference materials manifactured by ISO17034 certified institutes - in particular this is a DNA extract of a GMO presenting a single copy of the marker p35S CaMV. Solutions are provided by default at a DNA concentration 3 ng DNA/µl and a 0.2% GM contamination. Custom contamination levels are available. Using MODIfinder reference DNA in a Real-Time PCR experiment, it is possible to estimate the level of contamination of a grain lot with a convenient approach developed at Generon without the need of calibration curves.
