PATHfinder Real-Time PCR kits are primary tools for modern food and water quality and safety testing. The kits detect in different sample the presence and the identity of microrganisms through their DNA.The kits are developed according to the norms ISO22119, ISO20838, ISO16140 hence they include an internal amplification control, a positive and a negative control. Shigella and E.coli are often very difficult to distinguish through traditional biochemical and serological methods. This 2-plex kit allows also for the genetic identification as Shigella or E.coli of a colony isolated on a plated growth medium.
